Heavy Duty Mechanic - Field Service

Reporting into the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Plant Mechanic will join our Geraldton Branch on a Full Time Basis.

Dedicated to providing top-tier machinery solutions and support that cater to the evolving needs of the mining industry. Our expert team is focused on delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment to maximize productivity and ensure operational safety.

Roster: DIDO from Geraldton with FIFO options available

8 Days on 6 Days Off 12.5hrs (Inclusive of a 30min meal break)

Fully Equipped Field Service Vehicle, loaded with field service kits including phones, laptops and special tooling as well as full back up from the WesTrac and Caterpillar network.

What You’ll Do:

• Servicing our customers fleet of Earthmoving Machines from 6060 Face Shovels, 793F OHT's, D10T Dozers, 16 Graders and full ancillary fleet.
• Supporting our customers within the Midwest area, stretching as far West including Abrolhos Islands North, Exmouth, South to Cataby, East to Leinster and other surrounding areas.
• Provide warranty and maintenance of all Caterpillar products
• Working independently to manage and complete high volume tasks efficiently.
• Provide product improvement plans and product support programs

Skills & Experience:

• Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate.
• Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment.
• Previous field service experience
• OEM Experience - Desirable
• Minimum Light Rigid Drivers Licence required
