Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Australia

ConsultANZ is looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established livestock transport company just north of Mallala, South Australia.

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of Kenworth trucks and a diverse range of livestock trailers. This position suits candidates with experience in heavy vehicle mechanics, welding, and general trailer repairs.
 

• Diagnose, maintain and repair heavy vehicles, including Kenworth trucks.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on a range of livestock trailers.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and general mechanical work as required.
• Work independently and take initiative on both minor and major repairs.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

• Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Minimum of 3+ years' experience as a Qualified Diesel Mechanic or relevant industry experience.
• Experience working with heavy vehicles, preferably in a transport or agricultural environment.
• Proficient in mechanical repairs, welding, and general trailer maintenance.
• Ability to manage workload across a diverse fleet.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, can-do attitude.
