Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort is offering an exciting opportunity to join our well-established Maintenance Team. Our beautiful property boasts a picturesque lagoon pool with a sandy beach, a children's pool, and Cairns’ only swim-up bar. Conveniently located just a short walk from the Esplanade, city center, and Reef Casino, our inviting atmosphere encourages guests to explore local attractions such as the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest.

Are you a skilled and resourceful handyperson seeking a new challenge? We’re on the lookout for a versatile individual with a broad range of maintenance knowledge. Your role will involve:

• General upkeep of guest rooms
• Handling various repairs throughout the resort
• Conducting preventative maintenance and swiftly addressing out-of-order rooms

We value experience in maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. In return, we provide a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

• Painting skills, preferred
• 12+ month commitment, preferred
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working independently
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays
