Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort has a rare and exciting opportunity to join our well-established Maintenance Team. Our stunning property features a picturesque lagoon pool with a sandy beach, a children's pool, and Cairns’ only swim-up bar. Located just a short stroll from the Esplanade, city center, and Reef Casino, our relaxed atmosphere encourages guests to explore the region's attractions, including the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest.

Are you a skilled and problem-solving handyperson looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a jack-of-all-trades with broad maintenance knowledge. Your responsibilities will include:

• General upkeep of guest rooms
• Performing various repairs across the resort
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and promptly restoring out-of-order rooms

We value experience in maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication abilities. In return, we offer a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

• Painting skills, preferred
• 12+ month commitment, preferred
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working independently
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
