Our Opportunity
PROK, a division of the NEPEAN group, is a market leader in conveyor equipment technology with a strong history of providing quality idlers and pulleys world-wide. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will demonstrate initiative and accountability and will focus on:

Strategy: Take part in ensuring our client’s engineering needs are met by preparing drawings, specifications, calculations and models in a timely manner.

Execution: You will solve client’s product and operations issues by evaluating the problem and providing resolutions through investigative reports.

Structure: Collaborate with the Sales team by providing engineering advice on upcoming works and proposals. Support the Manufacturing team by ensuring all drawings and specifications are understood and adhered to.

Innovation: Assist in the development and rollout of PROK’s market leading technologies. Continuously investigate supplier opportunities that may contribute to further efficiency or operational benefits.
Other key responsibilities in this position include:
- Develop and execute product testing plans to assist in identifying issues with both existing and new product solutions.
- Develop and present ideas to improve processes, machinery and alternative parts.
- Review and prepare customer orders. This includes preparing drawings, bills of materials and any other further instructions are communicated and adhered to.

Qualified Professional: Completion of Tertiary qualifications in either Mechanical Engineering (B.E) or Mechatronics Engineering (B.E). Additional experience in a manufacturing environment would also be advantageous.
