Forklift Operator/Labourer

The Job:

Employal Recruitment is seeking dedicated Forklift Operators / Labourers to join a busy food manufacturing site in Wetherill Park. If you are hardworking, reliable, and ready to take responsibility, we want to hear from you.
  
We are looking for someone with a technical mindset – who is confident working with machinery.

Schedule/Shifts: 

• Afternoon Schedule 2pm - 10pm ($46.66 per hour)
• Training on day shift 6am - 2pm before moving to afternoon shift ($40.57 per hour)

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain food production equipment and machinery including forklift operations
• Perform various tasks in the food production process, including sorting, mixing, scooping, weighing, blending and packaging.
• Take ownership of your work area and support team members to meet daily targets.
• Lead or guide other team members when required to keep the line running smoothly
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and finished products as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
• Operate and maintain food production equipment and machinery including forklift operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (GMP, HACCP, Food Handling) is preferred. 
• Experience operating machinery and a good understanding of how machines work.
• Previous team leading or acting as a key point of contact on shift is an advantage.
• Quick learner with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
• Basic Computer Skills 
• RF Scanning experience 
• Monday - Friday (must have full working rights) e.g. citizen/residence.
• Possession of a LF (Forklift) license is an advantage
• Candidates without an LF license are also encouraged to apply.
• Able to lift heavy (up to 25kg).
