Komatsu is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our specialist Remanufacturing team in Hemmant, Queensland.

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of construction, mining and utility equipment, Komatsu offers the opportunity to work with genuine OEM products, advanced technology and industry-leading processes. Our Reman team plays a critical role in rebuilding major components and electric motors, helping customers maximise equipment life and performance.

Working in a clean, well-equipped workshop alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble components to the highest quality standards while contributing to a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Roster: Monday to Friday roster, 6:00am to 3:00pm.
Possibility of a 7 on 7 off roster in future.

Hourly Rate: Between $47.79 - $52.48 per hour + Super + Overtime

Role Located: Hemmant, QLD

What you'll be doing

• Dismantling, inspecting and rebuilding mining equipment components.
• Assembling and repairing electric motors.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out quality repairs.
• Working to OEM specifications and quality standards.
• Supporting apprentices and sharing technical knowledge.
• Participating in continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
• Maintaining Komatsu's industry-leading safety standards.

What we're looking for

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working on heavy mobile equipment, mining or industrial machinery.
• Experience dismantling and assembling electric motors.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding ability.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Basic welding experience (desirable).
• Current driver's licence.
