Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fitter (RSM) to join our team in Selwyn, Queensland. This contract role is essential for maintaining and repairing mining equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety within our mining operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our commitment to high standards of performance and reliability in the mining industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in machinery and equipment.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a relevant trade qualification in fitting or mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience as a fitter in the mining or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work flexible hours as required.
