DIESEL FITTERS – DUGALD RIVER / 2&2 ROSTER

Redpath Australia currently has opportunities for Diesel Fitters at our Dugald River Project, North Queensland. 

The Redpath Group is a leading mining contractor with almost 10,000 employees on projects across the globe. We specialise in shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, engineering & technical services, and specialty services in the mining and construction sectors.

The role involves

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor on your crew you will enjoy working in a large but close-knit team of experienced HD Fitters. You will assist with – 

• General mechanical work including repairs, attend breakdowns and perform service work to heavy mobile and fixed plant and equipment in a workshop environment.

• Conduct fault finding repairing and/ or replacing components as required;

• Maintain plant and equipment ensuring compliance with regulations;

We are looking for

• Heavy vehicle mobile equipment or diesel fitter trade qualification.

• Experience working with underground mining equipment, particularly heavy mobile equipment.

• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills

• Valid manual drivers licence 

• Current First Aid, & CPR qualification.

• A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
