About the Role: This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:
- Working with pumps, mechanical seals, and preventative maintenance servicing.
- Measuring, cutting, grinding, and shaping materials for fabrication.
- Interpreting technical drawings and assembling parts to produce tools and machinery.
- Operating specialised tools and machinery while following strict safety protocols.
- Diagnosing faults, performing planned and unplanned maintenance, and ensuring all equipment runs efficiently.
- Preparing, installing and maintaining equipment and systems in accordance to regulatory and company standards
- Completing reports, records, updates and other administrative requirements to ensure the accuracy and recurring work orders
What we're looking for:
- Open to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year apprentices currently completing Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter) or other trade qualifications (boiler maker, plumbing, or refrigeration).
- Knowledge of power tools with a mechanical mindset and a desire to understand how things work
- Preference if you have exposure and experience in copper pipe work, silver soldering, TIG welding of pipework, breakdown work on pumps or control systems
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Punctual, reliable, resilient, and respectful with a willingness to listen, learn, and take direction
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in a hands-on setting
- The ability to travel within the state to support customer base
