The Role:

We have a permanent position based at our Tomago site for an experienced tradesperson, working a 4 day roster (Monday to Thursday) in our Specialised Vehicles Division. This role will involve working on a variety of specialised vehicles. There may also be opportunities for exposure into projects in our Defence Division and other Varley businesses.

If casual work is more in line with your current circumstances, please let us know as we also can support casual roles.

To be considered for this role you will:

• Be trade qualified or experienced in assembly, fit-out, maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, or body building of vehicles, boats, railcars, caravans, motor homes, lifting equipment, motor mechanics or equivalent products.

• If not trade qualified, experience by working in a relevant trade position for a minimum 3 years. This includes areas outlined in the above point.

• We would also consider applicants from the building industry with fit-out/assembly experience or an associated trade.

• Have the ability to assemble new vehicles by reading and interpreting technical instructions and follow standard operating procedures.

• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Demonstrate a high quality of workmanship and attention to detail.

• Be physically capable to perform repetitive tasks – lifting, bending, twisting

• Successfully complete a pre-placement medical including D&A testing.
