As one of our current First Nations apprentices approaches completion of their apprenticeship, we are seeking a new apprentice to continue this successful initiative. We are committed to providing quality training, ongoing support, and long-term career opportunities within our business.
About the RoleThis apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
Working alongside experienced technicians, you will:
- Assist with servicing, repairing, and installing refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Learn fault-finding and diagnostic techniques
- Carry out preventative maintenance on commercial equipment
- Gain exposure to commercial refrigeration systems, including CO₂ technology
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Complete job reports and related documentation
- Attend and successfully complete TAFE training requirements
We are looking for a motivated Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person who is interested in building a rewarding career in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
You will:
- Have a genuine interest in the trade
- Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Be committed to completing a four-year apprenticeship
- Follow instructions and maintain safe work practices
No previous trade experience is required.
Essential Requirements- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicant
- Commitment to learning and completing the apprenticeship
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Current driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
- Full-time employment
- Nationally recognised qualification
