FIFO Kitchen Hand

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

The Position

We have exciting opportunities for experienced Kitchen Hands to deliver exceptional quality and service to our residents at our mining accommodation village near Miles, Queensland, on a permanent 14/7 roster with 10 hour days.

You will play a pivotal role in assisting in the delivery of high quality and efficient food services to our residents staying on-site.

Your tasks will include assisting our Chefs with food preparation, cleaning and washing up the kitchen area and equipment, maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment, assisting with restock and stock rotation, loading and unloading of supplies, partaking in stocktake and any other ad hoc tasks as required.

These positions are FIFO ex Brisbane or DIDO ex Toowoomba and surrounds. Locals are encouraged to apply.

The Person

• Hospitality back of house experience (mandatory)
• Ability to work long shifts (10 hour days) in a fast-paced environment
• Drivers licence and own reliable transport (desirable)
• Be flexible and adaptable and happy to work in other departments as required
• Ability to work within a team and autonomously when required
• Physically fit and able to stand on their feet for up to 10 hours per day
