What's the role? 

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the Qube team within our Goldfields region at our Northern Goldfields operation, to provide HSE leadership on safety culture, compliance and standards across all site operations.

Specific Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Assist with the coordination of all functional safety issues including risk assessments, systems development and the maintenance of relevant records and reports
  • Conduct workplace inspections and audits, implement improvement plans where any gaps are identified
  • Lead/participate in incident investigation processes
  • Ensure site compliance with all OHS and mining legislation
  • Follow the requirements of the SHEMS documentation including Rules, Procedures and Instructions
  • Drive culture change from the ground up on operating standards, risk awareness and safety culture
  • Initiate and verify solutions and control further processing until deficiencies have been corrected 

 

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have: 

  • 5 yrs working in a similar role within the mining or heavy construction industries (desirable) 
  • Strong understanding of WA mining regulations
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • ICAM Investigation qualification and experience
  • S44 qualifications highly desirable
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility essential
  • Hands-on approach with coaching/mentoring skills
  • Have an ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
