Field Service Underground Electrician

About our Role

Join the Barminco team in Field Services as an Underground Electrician and support our underground mining operations across Australia, with current opportunities available in Western Australia. In this role, you’ll play a key part supporting our sites installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems ensuring safe, reliable power for operations.

What will your day to day look like?

• Install, maintain, and repair underground electrical systems, including power, lighting, and control circuits
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues to minimise downtime and keep operations running safely
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on underground equipment
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, procedures, and electrical standards
• Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to support daily production and maintenance activities
• Complete job documentation, reports, and isolation procedures accurately and on time

Our ideal candidate background includes

• Previous experience working as an electrician in an underground mining environment
• Trade qualification as an Electrician (or equivalent).
• Current Electrical License + WA Electrical Contractors license number
• High voltage switching certificate (within 2 years is desirable)
• Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence).
