Our people are at the heart of everything we do — and we’re now seeking a motivated and experienced Field Service Technician (Diesel Fitter) to join our growing team.
This full-time role offers a unique hybrid working environment, combining hands-on workshop-based work with field service work on customer sites. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, thrives in both team and autonomous environments, and likes balancing workshop tasks with practical site-based problem solving.
Working across both the workshop and the field, you will be involved in:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing underground mining equipment
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out site-based breakdown and maintenance support
- Assisting with equipment builds, modifications and commissioning
- Working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver quality outcomes
- Maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality standards
What you'll bring:
- Relevant trade qualifications
- A strong safety-first mindset
- Previous experience servicing and repairing underground mining equipment (e.g. LHDs, Drift Runners)
- DES experience with ticket (highly desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and project scopes
- Current driver’s licence
- Exceptional work ethic with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to work overtime as required to support company goals
- Other desirable skills and experience:
- Certificate IV in Hydraulics
- Forklift licence
- Current Coal Board Medical
