About the role

Position: Field Service Mechanic – Heavy Vehicle Trailer

Location: Outer Harbor with breakdown support within Adelaide Metro.

Type: Full-time position

Additional: Tool of trade / company work vehicle will be supplied for tool fit out and travelling purposes

 

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work of our fleet
  • Liaising with external providers to ensure major repairs are completed in a timely manner
  • Be able to problem solve, troubleshoot and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Accurate paperwork and maintenance of records 
  • Actively participate in required meetings
  • Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediately
  • Ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled
  • Working collaboratively with the Workshop Manager and other team members
  • Able to work unassisted
  • Call outs required

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Mechanical trade certification (Heavy vehicle/ trailer essential)
  • Excellent knowledge of the diagnostic, repair and maintain all brands of trailers.
  • 3 + experience as a heavy vehicle/ trailer mechanic
  • Previous fleet and trailer maintenance and servicing experience
  • Previous breakdown support experience
  • HR licence 
  • Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
  • Sound skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power point

We require someone who is honest, reliable, punctual, trustworthy, is a team player and has the ability to follow instructions and communicate information to the fleet maintenance team.
