Field Service HD Mechanic

Join our team as a Field Service Heavy Diesel Mechanic supporting operations across field and site locations throughout the North West. This opportunity is offered on a 2:1 FIFO roster. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a fleet of trucks, trailers, dollies, and heavy vehicles.

This is a hands-on field service position involving breakdown response and on-site repairs to keep equipment operational and minimise downtime.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work across a 2:1 FIFO roster throughout the North West
• Attend breakdowns and carry out field service work across the North West
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on heavy vehicles
• Service and repair trucks, trailers, dollies, and heavy fleet equipment
• Carry out welding and basic fabrication repairs when required
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, hydraulics, and engines
• Perform basic 12V/24V auto electrical fault finding and repairs
• Work independently across field and site environments
• Complete job cards and service records accurately and efficiently

What You’ll Bring

• Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitter
• Experience with trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently in field environments
• Welding and fabrication experience required
• Basic auto electrical knowledge (12V/24V systems)
• HR licence (unrestricted)
• DGSC desirable
