An exciting opportunity has become available for a field low voltage (LV) Electrician. This position will be FIFO out of Perth, on 8/6 roster and is based predominately in the Pilbara of WA.

Infallible focus on safety and a safe working environment
Strict adherence to existing testing procedures and processes
Undertake project planning tasks, including job planning and EHS risk management
Conducting fault finding, testing, repairs, and maintenance work on Drill Rig electrical systems inclusive of motors, variable frequency drive, transformer, air conditioning, and switch gear
Record test results on the relevant test certificates and compile test reports.
A few things we’re looking for:
Current licence for Electrical Work (LV)
Current refrigeration and air-conditioning restricted electrical licence (REL) – highly desirable
Must be able to maintain and troubleshoot Low-Voltage and Extra Low-Voltage (ELV) electrical wiring
Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams, drawings, and specifications
Must be qualified in LV system implementation and commissioning
Strong knowledge in automotive Network design (CAN Bus)
Proficient in ELV 12v/24v/60v electrical systems
Must be able to lead technically and provide guidance
Experience in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques for electrical assets
Strong computer & communication skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook essential)
Ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
Strong organizational skills.
A few more things we’re after:
Must have industrial or PLC controlled mobile machinery electrical experience
A sound understanding of engines, hydraulics and vehicle controls interface
Commitment to customer satisfaction
Australian Driver’s Licence
Must have full Australian working rights
Must be able to pass a National Criminal History check and pre-employment medical.
