The Position…

With the recent growth in their business, they are currently seeking a Fabrication Apprentice to join the team in their engineering facility.This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in the fabrication industry, with a diversity of projects and skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plate fabrication
  • Sheet metal fabrication
  • Working with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel products
  • Body building
  • Maintaining and adhering to health & safety in the workplace
  • Ensuring a clean and safe work environment

The normal business hours of operation are as follows:
6am to 5pm Monday to Thursday;
6am to 3pm Friday to Saturday.  


Your hours of work would include: 
  • Normal day shift hours - 10.5 hours Monday to Thursday; 6 hours Friday
  • Normal night shift hours - 11 hours Monday to Thursday (possibly required after 2nd year)
  • Over time when required

 

The Ideal Candidate… 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the fabrication industry
  • Valid Australian C Class drivers’ license or reliable transport
  • Full Australian work rights
  • National police clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Motivated, hard-working and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Current High-Risk-License – Forklift (preferred, but not essential
