The Position…
With the recent growth in their business, they are currently seeking a Fabrication Apprentice to join the team in their engineering facility.This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to pursue a career in the fabrication industry, with a diversity of projects and skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plate fabrication
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Working with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel products
- Body building
- Maintaining and adhering to health & safety in the workplace
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
The normal business hours of operation are as follows:
6am to 5pm Monday to Thursday;
6am to 3pm Friday to Saturday.
Your hours of work would include:
- Normal day shift hours - 10.5 hours Monday to Thursday; 6 hours Friday
- Normal night shift hours - 11 hours Monday to Thursday (possibly required after 2nd year)
- Over time when required
The Ideal Candidate…
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Genuine interest in pursuing a career in the fabrication industry
- Valid Australian C Class drivers’ license or reliable transport
- Full Australian work rights
- National police clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Motivated, hard-working and a positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team
- Current High-Risk-License – Forklift (preferred, but not essential
