We are seeking Expressions of Interest from those currently working as Senior Controls Electricians. The role can be based at any of Pacific Energys location nationwide - Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Darwin.
Step into a key role as a Senior Controls Electrician, driving the design and delivery of cutting‑edge control solutions within our Engineering & Design Support Team. You’ll take charge across the full project lifecycle; shaping, building and testing systems that power Historians, SCADA, OT networks, PLCs, RTUs, BESS and PV inverters, all while setting the standard for quality and on‑time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop industrial control systems, including PLC/SCADA software and electrical schematics.
- Deliver engineering work across the full project lifecycle to required quality, budget, and safety standards.
- Produce functional design specifications and develop OT system architectures.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/CHAZOP, and update technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, HSEQ requirements, and change‑management processes.
- Develop testing documentation (ITPs, ITRs) and perform FAT/SAT commissioning.
- Support O&M activities, test systems, and troubleshoot electrical and control faults.

Be part of the solution
- Licences: WA Electrical Licence and C‑Class Driver’s Licence
- Technical Capability: Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings; strong computer literacy including MS Office; understanding of QA and OSHE requirements
- Experience: Proven experience with Power Generation control systems and background working in rural and remote environments; exposure to software development
- Work Ethic & Team Skills: Hardworking, reliable, aligned with team objectives, and committed to safe, high‑quality work delivery
- Communication & Client Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills with strong listening ability and a focus on understanding client needs
