Position:
Custom Solutions EstimatorLocation: Melbourne, AustraliaWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Custom Solutions team. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and technical proposals, working closely with our engineering and sales teams, and ensuring project success from concept to completion.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and process detailed technical proposals, including budget inquiries and quotes.Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications to fully understand project scopes.Prepare P&ID drawings for custom fluid system assemblies and generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOM).Collaborate with account managers and customers to ensure all proposals meet customer requirements and company standards.Work closely with vendors and the Swagelok factory to obtain accurate pricing.Ensure compliance with Swagelok Quality System (SQS) processes and ISO 9001 standards.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.Requirements:
Essential:
o Previous experience in cost estimating, budgeting and tender proposal writing, with 2 to 3 years of proven experience in a related role.
o Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings and other technical engineering drawings.
o Proven technical ability, working with customer-supplied datasheets, scope of supply documents, and drawings to develop accurate estimates and proposals.
Desirable:
o Experience as an estimator in a fluid system environment, ideally with exposure to small bore fluid system components.
o Engineering background highly regarded.
o Familiarity with SolidWorks software.
o Exposure to fluid system components and assemblies will be an advantage.
