Electro Mechanical Technician.

We are seeking a skilled Electro Mechanical Technician to join us at Breakaway Group in Truganina, Victoria. This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a tradesperson with experience in motor rewinding, armature winding, and industrial electrical systems, who is committed to safety, precision, and high-quality workmanship.

As an Electro Mechanical Technician, you will:

• Disassemble, rewind, refurbish, and reassemble motors, generators, and electrical equipment
• Conduct fault-finding, testing, and preventative maintenance on motors, pumps, and related equipment.
• Work on medium-sized industrial projects, including automation, control wiring, instrumentation, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Ensure all work complies with WHS, JSA, SWMS, and SOP standards.
• Provide professional, customer-facing service where required.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology or A-Class Electrical Trade Qualification
• Proven experience in motor rewinding / armature winding
• Experience in industrial electrical environments
• Familiarity with PLCs, automation, control wiring, instrumentation
• Experience with pumps, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and customer service focus
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and career development.
• Relevant licencing and permits (driver’s license, COVID-19, CPR/LVR, White Card, high-risk licenses)

The successful candidate must be willing to undertake:

• a police clearance
• pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug testing.
