The Project

CPB Constructors, in Alliance partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa..  The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.  Works are commencing now, and will go through until mid 2026.  

Your opportunity

Join CPB Contractors as a full-time employee and contribute to the success of one of Australia's largest contractors. Engage with industry leaders from project start-up, working on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis with a balanced 20 days on and 8 days off schedule.

We have opportunities for an Electrician, with experience in Mechnical/Electrical Equipment preservation to carry routine scheduled checks on Stored/Installed equipment and perform preservation required activities according to the supplier OEM. Ability to read and understand the requirements as per the OEM and good communication skills with management to highlight any issues.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

• WA A Grade Electrical Licence
• Extensive knowledge of electrical testing and fault finding
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
• Construction Induction Card
• Current CPR, LVR within 12 months
• First Aid
• Fire Training
• Construction site experience, in a similar FIFO role, 2-3 years minimum
• Hold unit of competency CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safety in the construction industry (White Card)
• Strong safety awareness
