A communications and technology company delivering solutions for remote and high-reliability environments is looking for an Electrician Level 2.
This hands-on role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining telecommunications and power systems across workshop and site environments. You'll support project delivery, ensure safety and quality standards, and may mentor junior team members.
This is a full-time role across various project sites in Australia (WA, QLD, SA) with travel and site-based work required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain electrical and telecommunications power systems
- Perform fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on complex systems
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Conduct site safety checks, JHA/JSA/SWMS, and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Support service restoration and respond to system outages
- Supervise and guide technicians and contractors on site
- Assist with project installations and commissioning of new infrastructure
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to support project delivery
- Complete reports, maintenance logs, and documentation
- Maintain tools, equipment, and safe work practices at all times
Requirements - Trade-qualified Electrician with a current electrical licence
- Strong experience in electrical systems, ideally within telecoms, DC power, or similar
- Experience with battery systems, power supplies, or site-based infrastructure
- Solid fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Experience working on-site or in field service environments
- Strong safety mindset and knowledge of compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and lead small teams
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to Have - Experience in mining, resources, defence, or critical infrastructure
- Cabling licence, Working at Heights, EWP, or similar tickets
- Supervisory experience leading teams on site
- Experience with commissioning and project-based work
