HMR is a national contractor providing surface and underground Diamond Drilling, Raisebore and Mining Services across Australia.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified Electrician to join our maintenance team to assist with the ongoing electrical maintenance of our fleet of drills throughout Australia
If you are a highly motivated self-starter who enjoys change, we want to hear from you, this role provides a wide range of exposure and travel, where no two weeks will be the same.
The Role
- 8/6 or 14/14 roster
- FIFO from any major city
- Accommodation & meals provided
- Commissioning and maintaining a new fleet of Epiroc Smart 6M mobile drill rigs, scheduled, breakdown and statutory servicing (electrical)·
- Maintaining our fleet of Raise Drills. scheduled, breakdown and statutory servicing (electrical)
- Maintaining our fleet of Underground Diamond drills, scheduled, breakdown and statutory servicing (electrical)
Key purpose of the role:
- Conduct hands on electrical maintenance on our fleet of diamond and raise drills
- Provide maintenance support to achieve mechanical availability target
- Implement programs to ensure optimal drilling efficiency of fleet
- Mentor & training of maintenance personnel
- Grow and maintain a strong relationship with operations personnel
Essentials: The ability to pass a Drug Screen, Medical and Police clearance is required.
- Licenced Electrician
- Relevant State endorsements, WA, NSW and QLD ( Electrical Licence)
- Current Senior First Aid/CPR & Low Voltage Rescue certificates
- Previous experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- RCS Control system
- PLC control
- AC Drive
- VFD
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
- Experience maintaining and fault finding on PLC and CAN bus applications
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Australian or NZ residents - Full working rights in Australia
