We are currently seeking an Electrician to join our team in our Maintenance Department at South Walker Creek.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Improving fleet performance through quality maintenance practices
  • Executing the maintenance plan
  • Liaising with the wider Maintenance team to develop, validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities
  • Liaising with the Planners & Schedulers to ensure schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan
  • Liaising with contracting partners for various activities

Job Description

  • Have proven experience as an Electrical Technician maintaining Dragline & CHPP equipment. 

  • Trade qualified with 2 years post trade experience and 12 months experience in a mining or similar environment. 

  • Have proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way. 

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills. 

  • Display the adaptability to operate to changing work conditions and required mining techniques. 

  • Exhibit an eagerness to learn and motivation to broaden your skills. 

  • Present the ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your group. 

  • Have the ability to actively employ the company values. 

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach and a positive outlook to waste reduction and cost effectiveness. 

Qualifications

  • Electrical Trade Qualified (QLD) 

  • HV Switching Ticket  

  • EEHA Qualification (desirable) 

  • SAP experience (desirable) 

  • Light Vehicle License 

  • General computer skills with Microsoft office programs
