About the Role:

The Industrial Electrician is accountable to the Electrical Supervisor for the delivery of all electrical fit outs and associated equipment, small and large project overhauls, service work as well as providing ongoing service to external and internal customers for Nepean Power projects.

This position is a full-time opportunity and will be based in Mackay, QLD. 

This role will also require you to:

• Develop strong working relationship with the Electrical Supervisor and Operations Manager.
• Interpret Electrical schematics and scopes of work.
• Mentor and coordinate daily tasks to co-workers.
• Communicate and coordinate to stakeholders within Nepean Power.
• Carry out full AS3800 overhaul inspections of Ex d equipment.

Our Ideal Candidate:

This position is ideal for an Electrician with previous experience in Heavy Industry or Modular Buildings and would ideally be comfortable with AS3800 standards.

• Relevant electrical trade qualifications, 4 years relevant experience as an electrician or the equivalent. combination of education, training and experience.
• Comfortable with both Panel and PLC wiring.
• Good Mechanical Aptitude.
• Team Orientated.
• Be Capable of working Autonomously.
• Proven experience with U/G electrical equipment.
• Previous AS3800 experience would be highly advantageous.
• The ability to interpret electrical schematics.
