The Role

Ventia are looking for an experienced and qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our Department of Transport contract. In this position you will be performing reactive and preventative maintenance tasks in and around the harbour which will include but not limited to: Lighting, power, navigational aids, high voltage equipment, vessel power outlets as well as testing & tagging.




Whilst predominately based at the South Fremantle Boat Harbour, this role will also see you travel around the Perth metro area along to coast as well as sporadic travel to remote and rural WA. Enjoy quality of life and healthy fresh air whilst working in an area surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of Fremantle.




This is a full-time, permanent position working 8hour days with 1x RDO per month.




The payrate for this position is $43.73 per hour.




Key duties, but not limited to:



  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and testing

  • Repair, refurbish, or replace defective equipment

  • Recording of inspection results

  • Ensure all safety and quality documentation are completed as required




Requirements:Ā 



  • WA Drivers Licence

  • WA Grade-A Electrical Licence

  • Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician

  • HRWL ā€“ Elevated Work Platform (WP)

  • Working Safely at Heights

  • Feel confident working on and around water

  • Prior experience in Maintenance Electrician role
