$81,845 - $88,260 (salary
subject to qualifications and competencies outlined in the position description and is inclusive of an annualised allowance W415 - $13,494) + Superannuation

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Instrument Fitter to join our dedicated team. You’ll be responsible for providing electrical and instrumentation maintenance services to water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and associated infrastructure. As an Electrical Instrument Fitter you will be a key member of our Electrical Maintenance team, supporting the Principal Electrician and other team members, to ensure electrical safety, asset reliability and operating capacity.

You will be:

  • a qualified, Electrical Fitter Mechanic or industrial electrician
  • a great problem solver, you will have the ability to identify faults, respond to breakdowns and undertake repairs
  • a team player with an interest in the Water Industry

 

What your day will look like: 

  • Undertaking technical assessments on electrical and instrumentation assets
  • Assisting the principal electrician with administration associated with the electrical section
  • Undertaking maintenance and inspection work ensuring safety and reliability
  • Exercising high level diagnostics on complex control systems and equipment
  • Providing technical guidance to colleagues

 

What you’ll need for success:

 

  • Electrical trade qualification at Certificate III (AQF 3) or above
  • Must possess computer literacy and a solid understanding of telemetry systems
  • Confined Space Certification (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Current Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus immunisations (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Current White Card
  • Awareness of Safety
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Current “C” drivers’ licence

 

What’s nice to have:

  • Additional Instrumentation trade qualification at Certificate III (AQF 3) or above
  • EEHA (Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas) certification
  • Working at Heights certification
  • Understanding of / experience in Telemetry systems
  • Previous experience in maintaining Water / Wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and associated infrastructure
