UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business based at our operation in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW are looking for an Electrical Fitter to join our locomotive build team.
These roles will be offered on a permanent full-time basis and paid under UGLs Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement working on a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday off, hours are Monday - Thursday 5.30am – 2.30pm and the Friday you do work is 5.00am – 1.30pm
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on our C-44 Loco Build Line, conducting control and power circuit terminations & crimping, installation of conduit (rigid & flexible), installation of cable ducting, cable harness’ and looms. Disconnect and reconnect of motors and equipment.
About You
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Electrical
- Experience with - Panel Wiring, Cable Harness / Looming & Termination, Mil Spec Plug Termination & Assembly, Cable Harness Manufacturing
- Harness Schedule & Device Report Interpretation
- Ability to Interpret Engineering Drawings
- Experience in – Hydraulic Crimping, Insulated Lug Crimping, Pin Crimping for various types of Plugs
- Knowledge of Liquitite Conduit Fittings
- Ability to work to a fast paced production schedule
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
