The Role

Community Solutions are seeking motivated electrical apprentices (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Year) to join our host employer based in Corbould Park, on the Sunshine Coast. The role is ideal for the right apprentice who has a genuine passion for the electrical trade and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry. You will gain hands on experience within a government organisation working on cutting edge Intelligent Transport Systems, with long-term career development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s licence with own reliable transport
  • Exemplar profiling must be up to date
  • Willingnes to workday and night shifts (penalties apply)
  • White Card (Construction Safety Induction) or willing to obtain
  • LVR/CPR certification (current or willing to renew).
  • Ability to think logically and process diagnostic ability
  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to work
  • Enjoy hands-on, practical work
  • Able to carry out precise and detailed work
  • Capability to work at heights
  • Willingness to travel to local depots and TAFE
  • Ability to provide two professional references
  • Recent school leavers most recent school report
  • Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Certificate II in Electrotechnology (pre-vocational)
  • Interest in IT, computers or technology systems

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial Group Training Organisation. We employ apprentices and trainees and place them with quality host employers across the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. Our apprentices and trainees benefit from:  important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to complete a nationally recognised trade qualification.
