Redpath Australia currently has an opportunity for 4 x Leading Hand Heavy Diesel fitters to join our new awarded project, MMG's Dugald River Mine in North West Qld. 

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor on your crew you will enjoy working in a large but close-knit team of experienced HD Fitters.

Your position as a Leading Hand diesel fitter you will be responsible for leading, motivating and supervising the maintenance crew to achieve required results. 

Your duties will be varied and involve:

• Manage and allocate correct resource to scheduled and planned maintenance.
• Ensure all work allocated for the crew is carried out, equipment is statutory compliant, all breakdowns are fixed in a timely manner and all work is done to a high safety standard.
• Assist fitters with the mechanical, hydraulic diagnosis and repair of faults when required
• File documents daily.
• Investigate ICAM incidents as required.
• Working within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Roster on Offer: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, rotating day and night.

FIFO: available from Brisbane & Townsville. 

Camp: A well-known mining hub in Cloncurry North West QLD, the camp on site features a variety of facilities including a modern canteen and accommodation. The site currently has:

• En-suite rooms with air conditioning and Wi-Fi
• Good quality and consistent standard of meals
• Clean camp site with large array of facilities & activities

Your Value

The ideal candidate will come from a heavy vehicle background, develop or continue your career in underground mining.

• Heavy vehicle/diesel fitting trade qualification
• Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence + able to obtain a National Police Check within 3 months
• Able to contribute and work well within a supportive and dynamic crew culture
• A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done — safely.
