Diesel Fitter - Specialised Machine Jacking | Australia Wide

About the Role:

We want you:

Safety Lift Solutions (SLS) is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter who wants more than routine maintenance work. This role is for someone ready to step into specialised, high-consequence major component and heavy lift operations across WA, QLD and NSW.

You’ll be hands-on with some of the largest mining equipment in the country, working on excavators and shovels where precision, planning and safety are non-negotiable. Strong hydraulic capability is essential, along with the mindset to work methodically in complex lift and jacking environments.

Our work includes machine de-decking, undercarriage jacking, slew bearing replacements, track frame change-outs, machine recoveries and full machine relocations — highly specialised tasks that most fitters never get exposure to.

SLS operates throughout WA, QLD and NSW, with established bases supporting the Pilbara, Southwest, Bowen Basin and Hunter Valley. You’ll be part of a tight, professional team known for doing difficult work safely and doing it right the first time.

The successful applicant, will have:

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• Experience working on heavy machinery   
• Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Have the proven ability to liaise with both management and clients
• Uncompromising attitude to safety
• Ability to meet site requirements
