This is an exciting opportunity to join our Can Making Plant in Rocklea , Queensland .Reporting into the Mechanical Supervisor and working 6am – 2:30pm Monday to Friday the  Day Fitter responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• On-going maintenance of machinery, equipment and services, to assist in meeting or exceeding site objectives (Production, Quality, Spoilage).
• Actively pursuing mechanical maintenance improvements to achieve production targets and improve plant uptime.
• Safety: Demonstrates an exemplary safety ethic – Leading by example and setting standards for the health, safety and wellbeing.
• Quality: Drive a high-quality culture and standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Trade Certificate with Advanced Certificate preferred.
• 3+ years mechanical maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment  
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Team player with excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Be able to meet requirements of Orora’s pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing
