About the business and the Role:
ProReman is a long established and growing business. The company is a part of the Parts & Services division of Epiroc, a leading productivity partner for the mining, infrastructure, and natural resources industries. 
We are seeking a professional individual who will set and operate CNC Machines in a safe and responsible manner manufacturing components within the specifications provided all with a focus on quality while driving continuous improvement within the ProReman branches.

Primary Responsibility:
To be considered for this role you will possess these key skills and experience:
•    Properly and safely load and unload raw materials and semi complete parts in CNC machinery
•    Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
•    Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
•    Understands, interprets, and edits CNC programs, ability to use CAM software.
•    Recognises, deploys, and properly uses tooling and fixtures.
•    Produce parts to drawing specifications and expected quality.
•    Deburr and perform hand finishing as required.
•    Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
•    Utilizes and abides by production requirements and safety procedures
•    Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions

Essential Position Requirements:
•    Fitting and Machining Trade Qualification or tertiary equivalent
•    Ten years related experience and /or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
•    Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to production standards
•    Ability to use procedures and process documentation – i.e., what is it, why do we have it, how do we use it to ensure machining product is of sufficient quality
•    Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms
•    Documents actions by completing production process sheets
•    Understanding of basic machining principles
•    Understanding of Okuma Lathes/mills and Haas machines but experience on other machines will be considered
•    CAM Programming
•    Knowledge of all safe working practice in the use of CNC machining and manual machining
