CNC Machinist

Job Description

Diplomatik is currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist for one of our clients for a Temp-to-Perm opportunity based in Belmont. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, with standard working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Key Accountabilities:

• Operate and set up a range of machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Perform precise machining tasks to produce high-quality parts and components, ensuring adherence to tolerance and finish specifications.
• Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
• Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues and make necessary adjustments to equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all safety and hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Salary range : $77,000 - $85,000

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Relevant trade qualification (Fitter and Machinist)
• Dogging ticket (for overhead crane operation)
• Forklift licence
• Relevant work experienced preferred
• Ability to pass a full medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening
