About This Opportunity  

Reporting to the Client Facility Manager (remote sites), and working under general direction, the Client Facility Coordinator (Painter) is accountable for the effective provision of maintenance services to meet the operational and strategic needs of clients within a UQ’s various precincts. The role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end delivery of maintenance services and implementing maintenance projects and initiatives aligned to client needs and the broader University and Property and Facilities strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of maintenance strategies: Align maintenance plans with clients needs and university objectives.

  • Manage maintenance operations: Oversee maintenance tasks, asset management, and project management.

  • Build and maintain relationships: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and clients.

  • Provide expert advice: Offers specialist knowledge on property and facilities.

  • Ensure service excellence: Deliver high-quality maintenance services and seek continuous improvement.

  • Manage building systems: Oversee building infrastructure and operations.

  • Fulfill organizational requirements: Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Prioritize safety and performance: Maintain a safe work environment, set performance goals, and support the team in its growth and development.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Client Facility Coordinator (Painter) to oversee, optimize, and actively participate in maintenance operations within designated locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities to deliver exceptional service to our clients and maintain the University’s high standards.
 

Selection Criteria

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree, trade qualifications, or extensive industry experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices in complex facilities.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyse and resolve maintenance issues effectively.

  • Relationship Building: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders.

  • Project Management: Experience in managing maintenance projects and contracts.

  • Compliance: Adherence to workplace health and safety and environmental regulations.
     

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including; right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, AHPRA registration, mandatory immunisations, first aid and/or CPR certification, blue card check, etc.
