Carpenters Wanted for Our Respected Client in Australia

Our respected client is currently seeking skilled and experienced Carpenters to enhance their team. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in carpentry, showcasing superior craftsmanship, precision, and a keen eye for detail. Your primary role will be to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials, ensuring each project is completed to the highest quality and standards.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must:

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Carpenter.
• Provide supporting documents, such as payslips, employment evidence, a valid passport, and police clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding, and hardware.
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Collaborate effectively with contractors, clients, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in carpentry, with a proven track record of high-quality workmanship.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction planning.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, for effective communication within the team and with clients.
