About the role
The Carpenter delivers high‑quality carpentry and general maintenance across diverse environments, helping maintain the structural integrity, safety, and functionality of buildings and assets. Responsibilities include construction and repairs, refurbishments, and minor works that support the overall upkeep and presentation of facilities. The role requires working both independently and as part of a team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely to a professional standard.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Construct, install, and repair timber structures, fixtures, and fittings
Perform maintenance including patching, painting, tiling, and minor plumbing/electrical work
Operate tools safely and efficiently
Conduct inspections to identify repair or maintenance needs
Maintain workspaces and secure tools
Liaise with clients to coordinate work and ensure satisfaction
Follow safety requirements including building codes and company policies
Assist other trades and support general labouring
Report issues such as hazards, incidents, or equipment faults
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Skilled in carpentry and general building maintenance
Able to work independently with strong time‑management
Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail
Effective communicator with good customer service
Physically capable of manual labour in varied conditions
Knowledge of WHS regulations and safe work practices
Certificate III in Carpentry or similar (preferred)
White Card
First Aid certification
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
