We are seeking a self-motivated, customer focused individual to join our Trade Services team.   We are seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter who is passionate about making a difference to our community by maintaining, repairing and improving Council’s built assets including buildings, park and street furniture and fencing. If you have a commitment to quality service delivery and workplace safety then you should consider this position.   You will be responsible to undertake all works in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and building codes, in a timely, accurate and satisfactory manner.   Purpose: Carry out a variety of works to maintain, repair and improve Council's built assets including buildings, park and street furniture, fencing and others as required and support the Supervisor with effective and accurate trade works in a safe work environment.   What we value: We value equity and diversity as Integrity, Customer Focus, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.   We will trust you to bring: Successful completion of a Tradesperson's Certificate of Competency in Carpentry and Joinery, or an equivalent relevant building trade. Knowledge and experience of all facets of carpentry works Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
