NEPEAN specialises in high‑quality modular buildings, electrical systems, and industrial manufacturing solutions. Our products are used throughout Australian and international mining, construction, and industrial environments.

NEPEAN is expanding across multiple business units in the Hunter region, and we are seeking Carpenters to join our teams in Thornton and Rutherford. We have permanent, casual, and fixed‑term positions available, offering genuine flexibility and pathways across the wider NEPEAN Group.

These roles are workshop‑based, supporting the delivery of high‑quality modular and industrial construction projects.

As a Carpenter with NEPEAN, you will work on a range of modular and specialist construction projects supporting mining, energy, infrastructure, and industrial clients. Typical project types include switchrooms, transportable buildings, utility modules, and site‑ready structures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing CFC flooring
• Installing steel frames and trusses
• Installing Fyrecheck and ballistic sheeting
• Completing wall and roof construction
• Installing internal and external cladding and flashings
• Fitting custom and commercial doors
• Working collaboratively with electricians, boilermakers, and other trades
• Performing quality checks on finished work
• Maintaining housekeeping and 5S workshop standards

High‑performing employees may be considered for ongoing opportunities across NEPEAN’s Hunter‑based businesses.

We are looking for candidates with:

• A trade qualification in Carpentry OR relevant construction TA experience
• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or modular construction
• Ability to interpret drawings and work from sketches
• Experience using power tools and workshop equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Personal hand tools
• A current Driver Licence

Advantageous but not essential:
Forklift, EWP, boom lift, scissor lift, dogman, or confined space tickets.
