Overview Of The Company / Role
- Head office Ryde
- Location of sites the Carpenter will work are around Western Sydney (Gables, Marsden Park, Norwest)
- Hours: Mon - Fri, 38hrs/week
- The client is a Residential builder developer focusing on building homes and communities
- They are a global brand who expanded into Australia in 2009
- Forecast to build 200 homes in 2024
- The company have made a strategic decision to bring all Carpentry in house
- The team will be supported by a Carpentry Manager
- The core duties will include framing, roofing and cladding, however you will also help with windows, doors, staircases, install cabinetry
- Salary range from $76,800 - $96,800 (inclusive of a $16,800 car allowance) + Super + $840 phone allowance
- Permanent benefits include paid holidays, paid sick leave, no insurances to pay and regular superannuation contributions
Key Responsibilities

Performing all carpentry duties required, including framing, cladding, roofing and window installation
- Measure, cut and build frames for houses, walls, windows, doors and staircases
- Check the accuracy and quality of work with the use of levels and surveying equipment
- Communicate with other trades professionals to ensure project completed in a timely manner
- Assisting supervisors with planning, layout, and installation
- Read and analyse blueprints to determine job requirements
- Effectively use a large range of hand and power tools
- Lift/carry heavy pieces of material or structures
- Provision of excellent customer service
- Maintenance of existing structure and fittings as required
Requirements To Apply
To be considered you MUST have:
- Cert 3 in Carpentry obtained via a carpentry apprenticeship
- Must have full drivers licence, own tools & transport
- High level of competency in measuring, cutting and installing frames, roofs and cladding
- A thorough understanding of Australian building regulations, WHSE regulations and Quality Assurance systems
- Proficiency in using tools and instruments
- The ability to read plans
- Logical and clear thinker
- Basic maths and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Dynamic and physically able to perform the practical duties of the role.
- Great communication skills and coordinate work with other tradespeople
