Astley’s are currently looking for a motivated and reliable First-Year Apprentice Cabinet Maker with a strong work ethic to grow with our friendly and collaborative team.
This is a full-time position and an opportunity for a long-term engagement within the Astleys team and the broader Maas Group for the right applicant. We pride ourselves on quality finishes and providing a service that exceeds our customer's expectations.
Role and responsibilities:
- Learning to construct and install a variety of custom cabinets and joinery through a variety of factory-based and on-site projects
- With a range of projects from residential to commercial to industrial
- Use of a wide range of hand tools , power tools and multi-million-dollar state of the art joinery equipment
- Learning a wide range of unique skills for high end joinery
- Including manufacturing of components , Cutting , shaping , building using all types of materials
- Examining designs, drafts and a range of plans to determine specifications
- Deliver and install completed products to site
- Some out-of-town travel for work and tafe
Key requirements:
- Physically fit, self-disciplined and have attention to detail
- Reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to be a part of something dynamic joining a team which is hard working but a lot of fun
- Current drivers’ licence
