Building Maintenance HVAC and Refrigeration

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team providing maintenance services at The Australian National University. Here you will play a key role in completing corrective maintenance requirements where you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services to the student accommodation at the ANU. 

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Perform preventive and responsive maintenance on Heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical ventilation systems as per the EMOS contract.

  • Maintain and repair a broad range of HVACR equipment everything from cool rooms, AC equipment, chilled water and HHW systems, as well as ventilation systems.

• Act as a representative of Downer in all interactions with internal and external contacts.
• Bring forward ideas and support innovation within the team.
• Contribute to condition assessments during your daily duties.

What You’ll Bring

• Must Hold a Cert lll in refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence
• Must Hold or willing to apply Working Children Check
• Current first aid certificate preferred.
• Post-trade experience in a commercial and maintenance environment preferred.
• Proven ability to respond to and meet customer needs.
