The Opportunity

As we experience rapid growth, NEPEAN Conveyors is seeking several skilled Boilermakers/Welders to join our team in Mackay. These full-time, permanent positions offer the chance to be part of a dynamic and expanding company.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Repair: Construct and repair structural steel assemblies for conveyor equipment, gantries, QDS equipment, and chutes, ensuring adherence to detailed fabrication drawings and tolerances.
• Welding: Perform MIG welding (bare and flux) with precision.
• Operation: Use mag-based drills, punching shears, plasma cutters, flame-cutting tools, air carbon arc gouging, tube benders, and forklifts (if applicable).
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCQ-FM-08) as necessary.
• Safety & Training: Maintain a high standard of work area safety and provide guidance to apprentices on correct work procedures.

Who We're Looking For

• Qualifications: Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in structural steel fabrication and overhead crane operation.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Eligibility: Must have the right to work in Australia.
