Boilermaker OR Mechanical Fitter OR Fitter/Machinist

Are you an experienced Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter or Fitter / Machinist with a passion for the mining/heavy machinery industry? We’re seeking skilled tradespeople to join our dedicated team and contribute to the success of NEPEAN Longwall.

What You’ll Do:

• Boilermakers: Fabricating and repairing structural steel assemblies (Longwall equipment, general mining equipment, QDS equipment, chutes)

• Mechanical Fitters: Good variety of work on assembly and dis-assembly of Longwall systems (BSL, AFC, Roof Supports, hydraulic components and circuits, rotating parts, machining)

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of Longwall mining equipment.
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, adhering to industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share insights to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues to supervisors.

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade qualifications as a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience in the mining/ Heavy Machinery industry, particularly with a Longwall OEM, is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work in various locations and adapt to changing project requirements.
