About the Role

As our next Boilermaker, reporting to the Heavy Crew Supervisor, you’ll join a team known for quality, safety, and results. This is a permanent full-time position on a Monday to Friday, day shift only roster, based at our Mt Arthur South Project, just 5km from Muswellbrook in the NSW Hunter Valley.

This role offers stability, work-life balance, and the chance to be part of a supportive and professional team maintaining some of the largest and most advanced equipment in the industry.

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across our Liebherr Excavator and Caterpillar Drill fleets.
• Execute all work safely and efficiently in line with Thiess policies and procedures.
• Access and interpret technical data using OEM manuals, bulletins, and computer-based systems.
• Take pride in your workspace by maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Conduct pre-start checks, personal risk assessments, and team-based safety processes.
• Look after personal and workshop tooling with care and report any defects or hazards.

What We're Looking For

• Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent.
• Experience in the mining, earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industry is essential.
• HR Driver’s Licence – preferred.
• EWP, Dogging, MDG25 – desirable but not essential.
• A team player with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
