About the role

As our next Boilermaker to proudly represent our Iron Bridge Maintenance Team, operating on a 14/7 day shift only roster, you will live for challenges and thrive on the variety of work available. Like all of us at Thiess, you’re a passionate and energetic person, that appreciates responsibility, recognition and reward.

In this role, you will:

• Perform the repair and maintenance of mobile fleet and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation


• Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer based systems


• Responsible for workshop tooling used and advise the Supervisor of any tooling which is unsafe


• Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards


• Carrying out pre-start checks

About you

• Must have Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent


• Previous open cut mining experience in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving fleet essential


• HR drivers licence (desirable)


• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
