Join the Civmec Team


Civmec are currently seeking Boilermakers to join our workshop based in Gladstone. These roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work available including opportunities to work on site.


 


The Role



  • Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.

  • Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards

  • Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.

  • Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations, weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.

  • Fit required lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantry cranes.

  • Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG


 


About You


To be successful in the role you will possess the following:



  • Trade Certificate in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Plateworker

  • Workshop experience

  • Post Apprenticeship

  • Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience with similar structures, specifications and standard

This role is paid in accordance with the applicable Enterprise Agreement. The hourly rate commences at $42.31 + Penalties.
